Hitachi Energy USA Inc is seeking a field service project coordinator to manage on-site GIS installations and lifecycle service projects across the United States. You will work at utility, transmission, and industrial sites during construction, installation, testing, and commissioning, balancing safety, quality, and schedule.

The role requires 10+ years in field service or construction management for HV equipment, a technical certificate or associate degree, and travel 80-90%.

Qualifikationen

• Work authorization to work in the United States.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in field service or construction management.
• Technical certificate or associate degree in electrical or mechanical related field.
• Experience supervising erection and testing activities for high voltage substations and equipment.
• Knowledge of safety procedures for energized HV substations.
• Valid vehicle operator’s permit and OSHA 10 training (or ability to acquire).
• Ability to travel 80-90% to project sites.

Aufgaben

• Plan, execute, and manage on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of High Voltage GIS equipment (69kV–550kV).
• Serve as Hitachi Energy’s on-site representative to customers, subcontractors, inspectors, and local stakeholders.
• Supervise field teams and subcontractors to support quality, productivity, schedule, and safe work execution.
• Oversee adherence to drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Perform and document field testing, including SF6 leak detection, gas analysis, timing, power factor, and contact resistance testing.
• Conduct inspections to determine maintenance needs and required repairs, supporting resource planning decisions.
• Plan and participate in on-site progress meetings and coordinate daily field activities.
• Prepare clear, accurate field documentation, reports, and project records.
• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
