Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA INC is seeking an experienced field service professional to oversee on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of High Voltage GIS equipment across the United States. You will act as the on-site company representative, coordinating with customers, subcontractors, inspectors, and project teams to ensure safe, timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in field service or construction management for high voltage equipment.
• Technical certificate or associate degree in electrical or mechanical field.
• Willingness to travel 80–90% to project sites.
• US work authorization for Hitachi Energy.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and manage on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of HV GIS equipment (69kV-550kV).
• Serve as on-site representative to customers, subcontractors, inspectors, and stakeholders.
• Supervise field teams to support quality, productivity, safety, and schedule.
• Oversee adherence to drawings, specs, and project requirements.
• Perform field testing and document results (SF6, gas analysis, timing, power factor, contact resistance).
• Plan and participate in on-site progress meetings and coordinate daily field activities.
• Prepare clear field documentation and project records.
