Job summary

EVERSANA is seeking a remote field-based Diagnostic Specialist for the NY region (NYC and Long Island) to educate healthcare providers on genetic testing initiatives and to align with the global diagnostic strategy. This role requires extensive travel and strong collaboration across client, internal, and external partners.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required; healthcare degree strongly preferred (MS, RN, PA, PharmD, PhD)
• Minimum 7+ years of pharma/biotech experience in commercial, clinical/medical, or diagnostics
• Proven success working in high-performing, diverse teams
• Experience collaborating with KOLs, labs, and internal/external stakeholders
• Prior experience in rare or ultra-rare diseases with strong patient focus preferred
• Diagnostic and scientific acumen
• Strategic thinking and operational capability
• Ability to succeed in matrixed environments
• Persistence, resilience, and achievement orientation
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Cross-functional capability and strong ethical standards
• Knowledge of ophthalmology strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Educate on genetic testing to raise awareness of sponsored testing programs
• Identify educational needs among the IRD healthcare community
• Provide education on genetic labs performing high-quality gene analysis with IRD panels and accurate interpretation of results
• Compliantly partner with cross-functional teams within our client’s organization
• Contribute to ongoing development and implementation of the U.S. diagnostic strategy
• Identify potential Genetic Testing KOLs and educate them on genetic testing programs
• Attend conferences to learn diagnostic programs and testing
• Engage with local organizations in advocacy and outreach
• Deliver high-quality education and provide insights to inform strategy
• Educate HCPs and labs for seamless sponsored testing utilization
• Provide education for resources for questions and follow-up from labs
• Provide expertise for IRD gene panels and test requisition best practices
• Demonstrate commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
• All other duties as assigned
