Job summary

EVERSANA is seeking a remote field-based Diagnostic Specialist to educate healthcare providers on genetic testing initiatives across the U.S. region, establishing deep diagnostic expertise aligned with our global strategy.

The role requires extensive pharma/biotech experience, strong communication, and the ability to work cross-functionally with labs, KOLs, and healthcare organizations to promote sponsored testing programs.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required; healthcare degree strongly preferred (MS, RN, PA, PharmD, PhD)
• Minimum 7+ years of pharma/biotech experience in commercial, clinical/medical, or diagnostics
• Proven success working in high-performing, diverse teams
• Experience collaborating with KOLs, labs, and internal/external stakeholders
• Prior experience in rare or ultra-rare diseases with strong patient focus preferred
• Diagnostic and scientific acumen
• Strategic thinking and operational capability
• Ability to succeed in matrixed environments
• Persistence, resilience, and achievement orientation
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Cross-functional capability and strong ethical standards
• Knowledge of ophthalmology strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Educate on genetic testing to raise awareness of sponsored testing programs
• Identify educational needs among the IRD healthcare community
• Provide education on labs performing high-quality gene analysis with IRD panels and interpretation of results
• Compliantly partner with cross-functional teams within our client’s organization
• Contribute to ongoing development and implementation of the U.S. diagnostic strategy
• Identify potential Genetic Testing KOLs with educational needs and provide awareness
• Attend conferences to learn diagnostic programs and testing
• Participate in advocacy, outreach, and engagement with local organizations
• Deliver high-quality education and provide insights to inform strategy
• Educate HCPs and internal partner labs for sponsored testing utilization
• Provide expertise for IRD gene panels and test requisition practices
• Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
