Job summary

National Power, LLC is seeking a Generator Service Technician to maintain and repair generator sets and related electrical equipment in the Baltimore, MD market. This role reports to the Service Manager and involves troubleshooting, diagnostic work, and field service visits.

Required are a HS Diploma and strong communication; a driver\'s license and willingness to travel 1-3 nights away from home are expected. Generac certification and military generator experience are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required; Associate degree in an electrical/mechanical related field preferred.
• Current Generac Power Systems certification preferred.
• US Air Force Electrical Power Production Specialist, US Navy Electrician\'s Mate, or Generator/UPS field service technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on generators (5-5000kw) and parallel systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair ATS, bypass isolation, and closed transition types.
• Troubleshoot diesel/gaseous engines, ignition components, and injection systems.
• Assist other technicians on large jobs and complex issues.
