Job summary

National Power, LLC is seeking a Generator Service Technician in Fredericksburg, VA to maintain and repair generator sets and related electrical equipment under the Service Manager.

The role involves diagnosing issues across 5-5000kW systems, servicing ATS, diesel/gas engines, and performing load bank tests, with travel and occasional overnight stays. Training may be provided, including Milwaukee-area courses.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required; Associate degree in an electrical/mechanical related field preferred.
• Current Generac Power Systems certification preferred
• US Air Force Electrical Power Production Specialist, US Navy Electrician's Mate, or Generator/UPS field service technician preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on generators and parallel systems (5-5000kW) and ATS work.
• Troubleshoot diesel/gas engines, ignition, injection systems, and valve adjustments.
• Conduct load bank testing to ensure proper operation and code compliance.
• Assist other technicians on large or complex jobs.
