Job summary

National Power, LLC is seeking a Generator Service Technician to maintain and repair generator sets and electrical equipment in the Goldsboro market. The technician reports to the CISV Service Manager and will handle preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning tasks.

The role includes travel, potential overnight stays, and training. Strong communication and computer skills are essential, with a focus on safety, quality, and timely service delivery.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required; Associate degree in an electrical/mechanical related field preferred.
• Current Generac Power Systems certification preferred.
• US Air Force Electrical Power Production Specialist, US Navy Electrician’s Mate, or Generator and/or UPS field service technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on generators and parallel systems 5-5000 kW; troubleshoot ATS, bypass isolation and CT types; perform start‑up/commissioning.
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel or gaseous engines including ignition, injection systems, valve adjustments.
• Perform load‑bank testing to ensure proper operation and code compliance.
• Assist other technicians with large multi‑person jobs or troubleshooting as needed.
