Job summary

Power Plus in Glen Burnie, MD is seeking a Generator Service Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and test generators from 5 kw to 4000 kw, delivering best-in-class service on-site. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, good communication with customers, and readiness for varied shifts and potential travel.

Candidates with technical schooling in automotive or related fields are a plus, and journeyman electrician credentials are favorable but not required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with experience in diesel generators.
• Technical schooling in automotive or related fields is a plus.
• Journeyman Electrician certification is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to learn and use new technologies.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely per OSHA rules.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and test 5kw–4000kw generators.
• Interact with customers and provide accurate paperwork.
• Read and apply technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
