Job summary

National Power, LLC is seeking a Generator Service Technician for its Lexington, NC area with a remote-work option. You will maintain and repair generator sets and related electrical equipment, troubleshoot AC/DC circuits, and assist on larger projects. Expect travel to job sites and possible overnight stays per project needs.

The role requires a HS Diploma and preferred associate degree; Generac certification is a plus, with strong communication and safety skills essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required; an associate degree in a related electrical/mechanical field is preferred.
• Current Generac Power Systems certification is preferred.
• Experience with electrical power production equipment is valued.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on generator sets and parallel systems (5-5000 kW).
• Troubleshoot engines, switches, and control systems; conduct start-up/commissioning.
• Load bank testing and ensuring compliance with code requirements.
• Assist other technicians on large or complex projects.
