Job summary

National Power is accepting applications for a Generator Service Technician in the Charlotte, NC market. You will maintain and repair generator sets and related electrical equipment under the CISV Service Manager.

The role requires travel to job sites, long trips and potential overnight stays, diagnosing diesel/generator issues, and performing load bank tests to ensure proper operation and safety.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required; Associate degree preferred in electrical/mechanical field.
• Generac Power Systems certification preferred.
• Military electrical power or generator tech background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on generators (5-5000kW) and ATS systems.
• Troubleshoot diesel/gas engines and load bank tests to meet codes.
• Assist other technicians on large projects and complex issues.
