Job summary

National Power, LLC in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a Generator Service Technician responsible for maintenance and repair of generator sets and related electrical equipment. You will troubleshoot, service ATS, perform load bank testing, and assist teammates on large projects.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma (associates preferred) and relevant certifications; willingness to travel and stay overnight is expected. Training may be provided, including courses in Milwaukee.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required; Associate degree in an electrical/mechanical related field preferred.
• Current Generac Power Systems certification preferred
• US Air Force Electrical Power Production Specialist, US Navy Electrician’s Mate, or Generator and/or UPS field service technician preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on generators 5-5000kW and parallel systems, troubleshoot ATS, bypass isolation, and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel or gaseous engines including ignition components and injection systems.
• Perform load bank testing to ensure proper operation and code compliance.
• Assist other technicians with large multi-person jobs or complex issues.
