Job summary

National Power, LLC is seeking a Generator Service Technician for the Harrisburg, PA area. The role involves maintenance and repair of generator sets and related electrical systems under the Service Manager's direction.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting engines (diesel/gas), ATS work, and load bank testing, with potential overnight hotel stays and company covering travel costs. Training may be provided.

Qualifications

• Requires HS Diploma; Associate degree in electrical/mechanical field preferred.
• Current Generac Power Systems certification preferred.
• US Air Force/Electrical Power Production Specialist, US Navy Electrician's Mate, or Generator/UPS field tech preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance/repair on generators 5-5000kW and parallel systems; troubleshoot ATS, bypass isolation, and closed transition types.
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel or gaseous engines (ignition, injection, valve work).
• Conduct load bank testing to verify proper operation and code compliance.
• Assist other technicians on large multi-person jobs or complex issues.
