Job summary

National Power, LLC is seeking an experienced Generator Technician to supervise and perform service operations for customers and service teams. You will train, develop, and direct an assigned group of service technicians who startup, service, and repair industrial generators and related equipment, including Bypass Isolation ATS and other related machinery.

This role requires leadership and hands-on technical expertise.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Generac Master Technician or equivalent certification required.
• High level of expertise with switchgear.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Ability to manage a team of technicians.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the work of assigned service technicians within geographic territory.
• Evaluate performance, provide coaching and feedback, and develop training programs.
• Identify and assign team members to provide field support and mentorship.
• Partner with Service Director to resolve performance issues and staffing needs.
• Participate in recruiting and hiring of field service technicians.
• Serve as first point of contact for phone and field support; troubleshoot and expedite complex issues.
• Conduct preventive and emergency maintenance, startup, repair, and maintenance of generators.
• Lead safety initiatives and oversee QC procedures in the territory.
• Support planning and quoting of complex service projects.
• Provide after-hours emergency response support as needed.
