Job summary

National Power, LLC in Harrisburg, PA seeks an experienced Generator Technician Supervisor to oversee field service teams responsible for starting up, servicing and repairing industrial generators. You will train and direct technicians, coordinate with the Service Director, and ensure safety and quality across projects.

The role requires hands-on expertise, leadership, and the ability to manage scheduling, parts, and customer communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Generac Master Technician or equivalent certification and training required.
• High level of expertise with switchgear.
• Positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to manage a team of technicians.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational, computer, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the work of assigned service technicians within geographic territory.
• Evaluate performance, provide coaching and feedback, and develop training programs.
• Identify and assign team members to provide field support and mentorship.
• Partner with Service Director to resolve performance or behavioral issues.
• Participate in recruiting and hiring of field service technicians.
• Serve as first point of contact for phone and field support; troubleshoot and coordinate parts delivery.
• Conduct preventive and emergency maintenance, startup, troubleshooting, and repair of generators.
• Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Drive continuous improvement of field operations and support planning of complex service projects.
• Assist with warranty processes and time/material estimates.
