Job summary

National Power, LLC is actively seeking an experienced Generator Technician to lead service operations for customers and service teams. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will train, develop, and direct an assigned group of technicians who startup, service, and repair industrial generators and related equipment, including Bypass Isolation ATS and other machinery.

This role requires hands-on technical expertise and strong leadership capabilities, with focus on safety, QC, and continuous

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Generac Master Technician or equivalent certification and training is required.
• High level of expertise with switchgear.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Ability to manage a team of technicians.
• Overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the work of assigned service technicians within geographic territory.
• Evaluate performance, provide coaching and feedback, and develop training programs.
• Identify and assign team members to provide field support and mentorship.
• Partner with Service Director to resolve performance issues and staffing needs.
• Participate in recruiting and hiring of field service technicians.
• Provide after-hours emergency response support as needed.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, startup, troubleshooting, repair of generators and equipment.
• Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Support planning and quoting of complex service projects.
