Job summary

Sigma Technologies is a growing engineering and design firm with over 500 team members across 30+ states, delivering impact in power and telecom sectors. This Functional Manager role is remote, with an initial 2-week in-person orientation at our Perrysburg, OH headquarters.

You will lead Design Supervisors and staff, drive performance reviews and improvement plans, and work across departments to keep projects moving on schedule. Occasional travel and core hours 8am–5pm ET apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of engineering, operations and/or project management in power utility design.
• Minimum of 3 years direct people management experience with proven ability to lead, motivate and influence staff.
• Experience managing other managers/supervisors is required.
• HS Diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or higher is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Manage Design Supervisors and subordinate staff in daily performance.
• Conduct performance reviews, disciplinary actions and improvement plans as needed.
• Collaborate across departments and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Lead with initiative, adapt to project scope and issues, and pivot as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
