Job summary

Sigma Technologies is seeking Make-Ready and Power Distribution Designers to support overhead distribution projects and make-ready efforts for utilities across the U.S. You will review field data, assess attachment conditions, model pole loading, and prepare construction-ready deliverables.

Remote role with an in-person orientation in Perrysburg, OH. The team values accuracy, collaboration, and long-term growth, with opportunities to work on CAD/MicroStation-based designs using DDS, Katapult,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years in make-ready engineering or electric distribution design; 3+ years preferred.
• Experience in utility pole design including NESC application and clearance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Execute overhead distribution or make-ready design work orders to meet quality, time, and budget.
• Apply NESC requirements and internal engineering standards.
• Perform end-to-end make-ready and joint-use distribution design.
• Conduct permitting and easement research related to pole ownership/ROW.
• Collaborate with teammates to resolve design challenges and deliver accurate outputs.
• Use AutoCAD, MicroStation, DDS, Katapult, O-Calc, GIS, or client systems.
• Perform quality control reviews and support additional duties as assigned.
