Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Software Engineer on the CDP Payment Acceptance team to power merchant checkout, subscriptions, and onchain settlement across multiple EVM chains. Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional full-stack software engineering shipping production systems in Go and TypeScript/React.
• Experience with relational databases, schema design, migrations, and performance.
• Experience designing APIs (protobuf/gRPC, REST, OpenAPI) and observability tooling.
• Experience with durable workflow systems (Temporal, Cadence, Step Functions) or onchain payments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end feature delivery across Go backend services and React/Next.js checkout experiences, including APIs, migrations, and client integrations.
• Build and refine buyer checkout UI with a focus on conversion, accessibility, and performance.
• Implement durable payment workflows using Temporal for onchain settlement, refunds, and reconciliation.
• Instrument changes with logs, metrics, and traces, and participate in on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to integrate Payment Acceptance into Coinbase developer platform.
