Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Software Engineer for the CDP Payment Acceptance team within the Developer group. You will build the stablecoin payment rail powering merchant checkout and onchain settlement across multiple EVM chains.

You’ll work on Go backend and React/Next.js frontend, shipping full-stack features and owning on-call rotations. The role emphasizes reliable, scalable payment workflows and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience shipping production systems in Go and TypeScript/React.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) including schema design and migrations.
• Proven track record designing APIs (protobuf/gRPC, REST, OpenAPI) and instrumenting production systems with observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end feature delivery across Go backend and React/Next.js checkout experience, including APIs and database migrations.
• Build and refine the buyer checkout UI with a focus on conversion, accessibility, and performance.
• Implement durable payment workflows using Temporal for onchain settlement and reconciliation.
• Instrument changes with logs, metrics, and traces; participate in on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering teams to integrate Payment Acceptance into Coinbase's platform.
