Job summary

Coinbase is hiring a Software Engineer for the CDP Payment Acceptance team. You will own end-to-end delivery across Go backend services and the React/Next.js checkout, focusing on reliable, scalable payment experiences.

You will design APIs, implement durable workflows with Temporal or similar, and collaborate with product, design, and other engineering teams to integrate Payment Acceptance into Coinbase’s developer platform.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-stack software engineering shipping production systems in Go and TS/React
• Experience with PostgreSQL and schema migrations
• Proven API design experience (protobuf/gRPC, REST/OpenAPI) and observability
• Experience building durable workflow systems (Temporal, Cadence, or Step Functions) or onchain patterns
• Ability to write clear design docs, PRs, and runbooks for cross-team collaboration
• Responsible use of generative AI in daily workflows to improve efficiency and quality

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end feature delivery across Go backend and React/Next.js checkout
• Build and refine the buyer checkout UI with focus on conversion and performance
• Implement durable payment workflows using Temporal for onchain settlement and refunds
• Instrument changes with logs, metrics, and Datadog traces; participate in on-call rotations
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering teams to integrate Payment Acceptance into Coinbase platform
