Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking an A/P Specialist to join the accounting and finance team to manage the full-cycle accounts payable function. You will handle invoices in Sage Intacct, match to POs, reconcile statements, and support month-end close while ensuring internal controls and compliance.

The role emphasizes accuracy, communication with vendors, and opportunities to streamline AP processes within a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of full-cycle accounts payable experience
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
• Experience with an ERP system such as Sage Intacct
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication (verbal and written), organizational skills, and ability to multitask
• Ability to work independently on deliverables and prioritize deadlines

Responsibilities

• Manage the full-cycle AP function including monitoring the AP inbox and entering invoices in Sage Intacct with accurate GL coding
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation with proper approvals
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Communicate with employees, vendors, and internal departments about AP-related questions
• Reconcile AP-related general ledger accounts and assist with month-end close
• Review and process employee expense reports and corporate card transactions
• Serve as the point person for procurement tool, including user support and approval workflow maintenance
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
• Assist with audit requests and provide AP documentation as needed
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and increase efficiency
