Job summary

SMX is seeking a Software Engineer - Front End Web Application to design, build, and enhance the BAS web application. You will work on interactive widgets, dashboards, and analytics interfaces for a Washington, DC client while supporting a remote team.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field and 2 years of front-end experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and REST APIs. U.S. citizenship and Public Trust clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years of software engineering experience across front-end web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS).
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and REST APIs; experience with XML/JSON data formats.

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise web applications using SAP Analytics Cloud or other web technologies.
• Review requirements and interface designs; develop interactive UI/UX components.
• Monitor and improve front-end performance and scalability; participate in code reviews.
