Job summary

SMX is seeking a Software Engineer - Front End Web Application to design, build, and support the BAS solution. This remote role supports a Washington, DC client and requires Public Trust clearance.

You will develop interactive UI components, review designs, and optimize performance using SAC Analytics Designer and standard web technologies. The ideal candidate holds a BS in CS or related field, has 2 years of front-end experience with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS, and can work independently or

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent job experience.
• 2 years of software engineering experience across front-end web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS).
• Understanding of JavaScript and its intricacies.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, experience creating and consuming APIs, and working with XML/JSON.
• Experience in OOP, Web Development and debugging.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong programming and communication skills.
• Public Trust, U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise planning and reporting applications using SAC Analytics Cloud or other web technologies.
• Review requirements and interface designs.
• Develop and implement highly interactive UI/UX components.
• Monitor and improve front-end performance.
• Document changes and updates.
• Provide feedback on UI/UX feasibility.
• Optimize for scalability and speed.
• Participate in code reviews and team communication.
