Job summary

Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without hidden fees or compounding interest. We seek an engineering manager to lead a team of six engineers on fraud decisioning systems, driving long-term technical roadmaps and a culture of accountability and innovation.

You will recruit, coach, and retain talent while setting OKRs and KPIs, collaborating across product, analytics, ML, compliance, and operations.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years managing high performing engineering teams.
• Past experience in Fraud/Risk/Financial systems is a plus.
• Past experience building platform solutions is a plus.
• Solid engineering fundamentals and real world experience building scalable distributed backend services.
• Collaborative: cross functional collaboration with product managers, business partners, and engineering counterparts.
• Humility and self-awareness to navigate challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a dynamic team of engineers and recruit top talent.
• Collaborate with Product, Analytics, ML, Compliance and Operations to chart a long term technical roadmap.

• Coach and develop team members, providing thoughtful feedback.
