Job summary

Aflac, Incorporated is seeking a dedicated Absence Management professional to support U.S. remote employees.

You will guide leave of absence requests, administer FMLA, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while delivering empathetic service. This role emphasizes independent remote work from anywhere in the continental United States, collaboration with human resources, and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1 - 2 years of related experience.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Associate’s degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in absence management and related regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain genuine caring and empathetic customer service in all interactions.
• Assist associates with leave of absence requests and guide them through the process.
• Process LOA paperwork according to procedures and laws.
• Provide timely responses to associates and management on day-to-day issues.
• Administer the FMLA policy; review documentation for accuracy.
• Make recommendations to approve or deny FMLA requests based on regulations.
• Coordinate correspondence, forms, and documents via the claim system.
• Generate reports and maintain files and data.
• Support management with special projects and policy governance.
• Maintain compliance with federal/state regulations and records.
