Job summary

AHF Products seeks a Business Development Representative to grow sales in the Chicago territory with a remote work setup. You will engage prospects, build relationships with end users, architects, and contractors, and position AHF product solutions to grow revenue.

Travel will be extensive (75-80% field time) with some overnight stays. You will create pricing, submit bids, manage CRM workflows, and collaborate with support teams to close opportunities and expand accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Outside sales experience with varied client base.
• Strong knowledge of flooring products or similar construction materials.
• Proven success selling to large corporate clients.
• Familiarity with specifications, design, and project phases.
• Understanding of construction, real estate, and job site conditions.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage relationships with End Users, Architect/Interior Designers, Flooring Contractors, and other buyers to establish trust and drive sales.
• Research purchase needs and tailor sales tactics accordingly.
• Present, promote, and sell products to influence specifications and product selection.
• Identify new service opportunities to grow accounts and strengthen relationships.
• Reach out to new customers via networking, social media, and cold outreach.
• Develop market intelligence to compete effectively outside current networks.
• Create and execute sales-driving campaigns and events to increase brand awareness and sales.
• Collaborate with support and management during specification and order fulfillment, communicating project details clearly.

Education

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent work experience
