Job summary

Lanteris Space LLC seeks a Software Verification and Validation Engineer to join our team in Palo Alto, CA, San Jose, CA, or Houston, TX, with remote US option. You will lead V&V campaigns for flight software and simulation systems, including HIL/SIL testing and validation strategy.

The role requires 8+ years in software V&V, a Bachelor's in CS/Aerospace, and experience with C/C++, Python, CI/CD, and test automation. Occasional travel to Palo Alto may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of software V&V experience.
• Experience authoring test procedures, driving process improvements and managing defects/non-conformances.
• Experience with technical writing and cross-functional stakeholder management.
• Ability to travel to Palo Alto, CA occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive software verification plans and procedures for flight software, including software on payload and customer furnished equipment (CFE).
• Develop and execute requirement and use case/scenario based test procedures in HIL/SIL environments and document test results to ensure requirements are met.
• Support V&V lifecycle and roadmap definition for flight software testing and the overarching validation strategy across test phases.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and champion test automation to reduce errors and manual intervention.
• Serve as subject matter expert and technical authority for test processes and represent organization in Test Preparation and Build Delivery Reviews.
• Familiarity with test equipment (oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems)
