Job summary

Lanteris Space Systems is seeking a Principal Software Verification and Validation Engineer to lead verification and validation campaigns for flight software and simulation systems. Roles can be based in Palo Alto, San Jose, or Houston, or remotely within the US.

Requires 15+ years of software V&V experience, a relevant Bachelor's degree, and ability to travel to Palo Alto occasionally. Proficiency in C/C++, Python, test automation, and CI/CD is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 15 years of software V&V experience.
• Experience authoring test procedures, driving process improvements and managing defects/non-conformances.
• Experience with technical writing and cross-functional stakeholder management.
• Ability to travel to Palo Alto, CA occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive software verification plans for flight software and CFE risk.
• Develop and execute requirement- and use-case based test procedures in HIL/SIL environments and document results.
• Support V&V lifecycle and validation strategy across test phases.
• Champion test automation to reduce manual effort and errors.
• Serve as SME for test processes and participate in Build Delivery Reviews.
• Familiarity with test equipment (oscilloscopes, data acquisition).
