Job summary

Lanteris Space LLC is seeking a Principal Software Verification and Validation Engineer to lead verification campaigns for flight software and simulation systems across Palo Alto, San Jose, Houston, or remote in the US.

You will design verification plans, implement HIL/SIL tests, and drive automation while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role requires deep V&V expertise, strong communication, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Bachelor’s degree in CS, Aerospace Engineering, or related field; four additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
15+ years of software V&V experience.
Experience authoring test procedures, driving process improvements and managing defects/non-conformances.
Experience with technical writing and cross-functional stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

Design and execute comprehensive software verification plans for flight software and payload equipment.
Develop and execute requirement and scenario-based test procedures in HIL/SIL environments and document results.
Support V&V lifecycle and validation strategy across test phases.
Champion test automation to reduce human error and manual intervention.
Serve as SME and technical authority for test processes and Build/Delivery Reviews.
