RethinkFirst is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting and finance team, reporting to the Controller. This role is central to month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting, with a remote-first setup that enables nationwide candidates.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of accounting experience, an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, and strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.

Responsabilités

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards.
