Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to join the CDP Payment Acceptance team. You will contribute to the stablecoin payment rail powering merchant checkout and onchain settlement across multiple EVM chains.

You will deliver full-stack features in Go and React/Next.js, focusing on reliability and performance. Expect quarterly in-person surges and a remote-first work environment with strong security and observability practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience shipping production systems in Go and TypeScript/React.
• Proven experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) including schema design and migrations.
• Experience designing APIs (protobuf/gRPC, REST, OpenAPI) and observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end feature delivery across Go backend and React/Next.js checkout UI.
• Build and refine buyer checkout UI with focus on conversion, accessibility, and performance.
• Implement durable payment workflows using Temporal for onchain settlement and refunds.
• Instrument changes with structured logs, metrics, and Datadog traces; participate in on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to integrate Payment Acceptance into Coinbase platform.
