Job summary

Coinbase is hiring a Software Engineer for the CDP Payment Acceptance team. You’ll ship end-to-end features across Go services and a React/Next.js checkout, contributing to a robust stablecoin payment rail for global commerce.

You’ll work on gRPC/REST APIs, wallet flows, and onchain settlement workflows, with a strong emphasis on reliability, performance, and cross-team collaboration. Apply to join a remote-first, hybrid-ready environment with quarterly in-person surges.

Qualifications

• 3+ years shipping production Go and React/TypeScript apps.
• Experience with relational DBs, PostgreSQL preferred.
• Designing APIs (protobuf/gRPC, REST) with observability.
• Experience with durable workflows (Temporal, Cadence) or EVM/blockchains.
• Clear design docs and runbooks for cross-team collaboration.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end feature delivery across Go backend services and the React/Next.js merchant-facing checkout experience, including gRPC/HTTP APIs, protobuf definitions, database migrations, and TypeScript client integrations
• Build and refine the buyer checkout UI (payment links, embeddable web components, wallet connection flows via WalletConnect, wagmi/viem) with a focus on conversion, accessibility, and performance
• Implement durable, fault-tolerant payment workflows using Temporal for onchain settlement, refunds, and reconciliation against PostgreSQL
• Instrument every change with structured logs, metrics, and Datadog traces, and own on-call rotation for services you ship
• Partner with Product, Design, and engineering teams (CDP, Base, Coinbase Business) to integrate Payment Acceptance into the broader Coinbase developer platform
