Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Software Engineer on the CDP Payment Acceptance team to power merchant checkout, subscriptions, and onchain settlement across multiple EVM chains. You will ship full-stack features using Go backend and React/Next.js, embedding robust tests, monitoring, and reliability principles.

You'll own end-to-end delivery, design durable workflows with Temporal, and work with Product, Design, and engineering teams to integrate Payment Acceptance into Coinbase's developer platform.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-stack software engineering experience shipping production systems in Go and TypeScript/React.
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL) including schema design, migrations, performance.
• APIs design (protobuf/gRPC, REST, OpenAPI) with observability (Datadog/OpenTelemetry).
• Experience building durable workflows (Temporal) or with EVM blockchains and on-chain patterns.
• Clear design docs and runbooks; cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end feature delivery across Go backend services and the React/Next.js merchant-facing checkout, including APIs and migrations.
• Build and refine the buyer checkout UI with a focus on conversion, accessibility, and performance.
• Implement durable payment workflows using Temporal for on-chain settlement, refunds, and reconciliation.
• Instrument changes with structured logs, metrics, and Datadog traces; participate in on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering teams to integrate Payment Acceptance into Coinbase's developer platform.
