Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer for the CDP Payment Acceptance team. You will ship full-stack features across Go backend and React/Next.js frontend, owning end-to-end delivery from APIs to onchain settlement.

You will work with Temporal workflows, gRPC, and PostgreSQL, focusing on reliable payment experiences for merchants and developers globally. This remote-first role offers quarterly in-person surges and strong compensation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional full-stack experience shipping production systems in Go and TS/React.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) including migrations and performance.
• Experience designing APIs with protobuf/gRPC, REST, and OpenAPI.
• Experience building durable workflow systems (Temporal) or working with EVM blockchains and onchain payment patterns.
• Strong documentation and runbook writing for cross-team collaboration and operational maturity.
• Responsible use of generative AI in daily workflows with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end feature delivery across Go backend and React/Next.js checkout, including APIs, migrations, and client integrations.
• Build and refine the buyer checkout UI with a focus on conversion, accessibility, and performance.
• Implement durable payment workflows using Temporal for onchain settlement and reconciliation.
• Instrument changes with logs, metrics, and tracing; own on-call rotation for services shipped.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering teams to integrate Payment Acceptance into Coinbase platform.
