Job summary

UpGuard is seeking a Director of Global Solutions Engineering to lead our technical engine behind revenue. You’ll manage Sales Engineers and Solutions Consultants across regions, driving pre-sales demos and post-sales technical support.

You’ll work closely with CRO and executive leadership to scale processes, boost win rates, and align with product and enablement. This remote-first, globally distributed role rewards hands-on leadership and strategic influence.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of building and leading a world-class Solutions/Sales Engineering team.
• Experience selling technical product to technical buyers (engineers, security teams).
• Proven experience as a manager of managers leading distributed/global teams.
• Ownership of the technical experience across the customer journey.
• Hands-on disposition — able to lead a high-stakes customer call personally.
• Track record of building or scaling RFP / security assessment functions.
• Experience enabling channel / partner ecosystems to represent and implement the product.
• Strong partnership with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Enablement.
• Excellent executive communication; credible with C-level buyers and hands-on evaluators.
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global, multi-layered team of Sales Engineers and Solutions Consultants.
• Own the technical win in pre-sales through demos, PoCs, and discovery.
• Own the post-sales technical escalation path and cross-sell initiatives.
• Stay hands-on by joining high-stakes customer calls when needed.
• Elevate RFPs and security assessments with scalable content and processes.
• Enable and scale the channel through training and certification.
• Partner with Enablement to design technical training and playbooks.
• Capture field feedback and relay to Product/Engineering to influence roadmaps.
• Operate as a revenue leader with forecasting and go-to-market collaboration.
