Job summary

Teleport, a remote-first AI infrastructure identity company, is seeking a Solutions Engineering Manager to lead a mid-market SE team. You’ll bridge field sales, customer success, and global SE leadership, driving technical wins and trusted cross-functional collaboration.

You will guide talent development, shape the pre-sales strategy, and partner with regional sales to balance resources and opportunities across regions. Travel to customer sites will be part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a Solutions Engineering team and developing talent.
• Strong pre-sales experience: discovery, qualification, POC design, and connecting capabilities to outcomes.
• Proven ability to drive customer outcomes through the full journey from sales to adoption.
• Solid Linux networking and network security knowledge.
• Hands-on cloud-native skills: Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Knowledge of IAM concepts: SSO, OIDC, SAML, RBAC, mTLS, zero trust, PAM.
• Fluent English; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Extend and develop a team of Solutions Engineers.
• Coach and mentor for performance, growth, and career progression.
• Coach SEs on depth and sales skills, including discovery, qualification, POC design, and executive communication.
• Collaborate with engineering teams at leading technology companies.
• Assist customers in security, compliance, and development experience.
• Visit customers on-site to demonstrate features and build solutions.
• Lead 1:1s and career development plans for each SE.
• Partner with regional sales leaders to balance SE utilization and opportunities.
• Engage with executives and technical architects to build long-term relationships.
