Job summary

IMP is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead multiple software delivery teams in a remote-first UK setting. You will own a product area from capacity planning to outcomes, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Architects and Product Managers to shape the roadmap.

You will drive delivery with strong governance, promote low-defect practices, and ensure robust stakeholder communication. If you thrive in a fast-growing, collaborative culture that values flexibility, CPD, and impact on MAT finance

Qualifications

• Proven ownership of a product area from planning to outcomes.
• Experience developing people and teams.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Expertise guiding Agile delivery processes.
• Remote-first team leadership is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Own capacity planning at roadmap and sprint level across multiple software delivery teams.
• Manage delivery execution, risks, trade-offs, and dependencies between teams.
• Facilitate standard ceremonies to remove blockers, plan work, and iterate processes.
• Own operational accountability: triage production incidents, post-mortems, and backlog feedback with Product.
• Develop reports against agreed goals: growth plans, development conversations, and performance management.
• Ensure the team carries the capabilities the roadmap demands: technical depth, delivery pace, and agentic engineering fluency.
