Job summary

isolved is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team of around 10 senior and principal engineers. You will remove obstacles, sustain delivery momentum, and mentor growth while balancing people leadership with hands-on contribution.

You will report to the Senior Director of Engineering and work with domain teams in a remote-friendly environment. You will drive staffing decisions, ensure engineering standards, and coordinate across multiple teams to reduce risks and accelerate

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience, including at least 2 years in an engineering management role.
• Proven experience managing senior and principal-level engineers with empowerment over process and culture.
• Strong program coordination skills to manage dependencies and multiple workstreams.
• Sufficient technical depth to understand team deliverables and participate in technical discussions.
• Excellent communication skills for both engineering teams and senior leadership.
• Experience working remotely in distributed environments with high autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and retain a high-performing team of principal and senior engineers in a remote environment.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, provide actionable feedback, and drive development.
• Own team engagement and address burnout, dynamics, and health.
• Partner with senior leadership on hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning.
• Maintain visibility into delivery across multiple teams, with risks and blockers.
• Coordinate across teams and escalate issues to minimize program impact.
• Ensure alignment to engineering standards, architecture, AI practices, and IaC (Terraform).
• Facilitate team rituals and operational excellence with tools and clarity.
• Contribute hands-on as needed via code reviews and guidance.
• Stay connected to daily engineering work to inform senior leadership decisions.
