Job Title: Engineering Manager

Our client provides leading business support services across both public and commercial sectors and is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to strengthen their internal technology capability. This role blends hands‑on technical leadership with people management, helping scale and mature two key engineering teams while driving delivery excellence across the organisation.

Engineering Manager Responsibilities

• Own and evolve engineering practices, standards, and delivery processes to improve quality and efficiency
• Provide people leadership, coaching, and line management to software engineers across multiple teams
• Provide technical guidance and leadership across projects, including architecture and technology decisions
• Identify and remove delivery blockers, enabling teams to perform at their best
• Contribute to strategic planning, roadmaps, and continuous improvement initiatives

Engineering Manager Requirements

• Proven experience leading and managing software engineering teams in a technical environment
• Strong technical background with hands‑on experience in either .NET or PHP ecosystems
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, including migration or modernisation initiatives
• Demonstrated ability to balance people leadership with technical decision‑making
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
