Job summary

SearchApi is seeking an engineering manager to own delivery end-to-end, surfacing risks early and leading through clear writing and sound decisions. You will be the first escalation point, guiding a lean, bootstrapped team as it scales.

You’ll work closely with the founder to reduce day-to-day load, while building a high-trust culture with a strong emphasis on automation, process, and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a small engineering team
• Proven ability to own delivery end-to-end
• Excellent written communication and decision-making

Responsibilities

• Run cadences: planning, standups, retros
• Track active projects and surface risks early
• Own delivery metrics: cycle time, latency, reliability
• Coordinate incident responses and blameless RCAs
• Grow the team with 1:1s, coaching, and hiring pipeline
