Coinbase is seeking an experienced software engineer to join the Compliance AI team, embedding with regulatory stakeholders to translate workflows into scalable automation.

You will prototype on Coinbase's AI platform, shape the automation roadmap with leadership, and ensure outputs are auditable, compliant, and adopted across teams. This role requires strong focus on regulatory alignment and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in production systems.
• Hands-on experience deploying LLM-based applications.
• Ability to embed with non-technical domain experts and translate workflows into engineering requirements.
• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory systems concepts.
• Experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or embedded advisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Embed with Compliance leadership and frontline teams to surface automation opportunities.
• Prototype quickly on Coinbase's AI platform and advise on builds.
• Own the Compliance automation roadmap with leadership, translating regulatory workflows into engineering requirements.
• Define the build-vs-buy strategy for Compliance tooling.
• Ensure automated outputs are auditable, defensible, and compliant.
• Drive adoption through demos, walkthroughs, and feedback loops.
