Job summary

MVB Financial Corp. is seeking a Manager, Fintech Pricing Strategy & Economics to own profitability strategy for its Fintech division.

You will build financial models, set pricing frameworks, and advise executive leadership on terms and performance across fintech engagements. The role partners with senior leaders in Fintech and Finance, influencing pricing, deposits, and revenue strategies while collaborating with external vendors and sponsor banks.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or related field with 7+ years of experience in banking/fintech.
• Demonstrated ability to construct complex and advanced Excel models.
• Knowledge of banking economics, deposit pricing, earnings credit, and net interest margin drivers.
• Familiarity with Banking as a Service (BaaS) and payments business models.
• Experience forecasting and analyzing unit economics and partner performance.

Responsibilities

• Own the Fintech profitability strategy, including methodologies, thresholds and return requirements for evaluating relationships.
• Develop and maintain financial models and projections to assess client profitability and advise executive management.
• Prepare pricing recommendations for new Fintech clients across fee structures, deposit pricing and terms.
• Lead finance reviews during client evaluation and present recommendations to executive committees.
• Communicate pricing strategy to Fintech team during client discussions and renegotiations.
• Collaborate with senior Fintech leaders to refine strategy and act as liaison with external parties on finance matters.
• Ensure data quality for unit economics and partner performance analyses to support profitability insights.
• Participate in governance committees (Liquidity, ALCO, Finance, etc.) and provide strategic financial input.
