Job summary

MVB Financial Corp. in the Mid-Atlantic region seeks a Manager, Fintech Pricing Strategy & Economics to lead the profitability strategy for the Fintech division.

You will own pricing methodology, develop models, and advise senior leaders. This role collaborates with senior Fintech leadership, including the Head of Business Development and Chief Deposit Officer, participates in governance committees, and communicates strategy across Fintech teams to ensure financial objectives align with

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or related field with 7+ years in banking/Fintech.
• Strong Excel modeling skills with complex financial models.
• Working knowledge of banking economics, including deposit pricing and NIM drivers.
• Familiarity with Banking as a Service (BaaS) and payments business models.
• Forecasting experience and analysis of unit economics and partner performance.
• Proven leadership and ability to manage multiple projects with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Own Fintech profitability strategy, including methodology, thresholds, and return requirements for evaluation.
• Develop and maintain financial models and projections to assess client profitability and advise execs.
• Prepare pricing recommendations for new Fintech clients across components such as deposits, fees, and revenue share.
• Lead Finance review and present recommendations to the Fintech Oversight Committee.
• Communicate strategy and pricing requirements to the Fintech team during discussions and renegotiations.
• Maintain relationships with key Fintech personnel to align client engagements with financial objectives.
• Participate in client meetings to communicate financial requirements and support pricing discussions.
• Collaborate with Head of Business Development and Chief Deposit Officer on Fintech strategy.
• Serve as liaison for Fintech Finance with vendors, auditors, sponsor banks, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure data completeness and timeliness for unit economics and partner performance analyses.
• Participate in Liquidity and Capital Committee, Finance Committee, ALCO, and other governance bodies.
• Provide strategic financial input on balance sheet, liquidity, and capital considerations related to Fintech.
• Maintain Fintech profitability models and reports, including monthly noninterest income and new client reports.
• Develop and maintain Fintech budgeting assumptions and a rolling forecast up to 24 months.
