Job summary

Zekai is seeking a Financial Aid Advisor contractor to help evaluate and improve AI-driven responses on federal student loan topics. You will apply your borrower counseling experience to ensure questions reflect real borrowers and that answers are accurate and useful.

This 100% remote, short‑term project requires 15–25 hours per week. No AI background is required; strong domain knowledge, precise writing, and the ability to work asynchronously are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Direct experience counseling borrowers on federal student loan repayment and forgiveness.
• 1+ years advising on IDR, PSLF, or other repayment options.
• Experience beyond award packaging: repayment, forgiveness, servicer issues, or default resolution.
• Working knowledge of loan servicing, deferment, forbearance, and default.
• US-based, able to start quickly and commit 15-25 hours/week.
• Clear, precise writing.

Responsibilities

• Review sample student loan questions and flag any that don’t sound like what real borrowers ask.
• Write rubrics that define a correct, complete answer on federal loan repayment, including IDR plans and PSLF.
• Cover servicer issues, deferment and forbearance, and default management in your rubrics.
• Evaluate AI-generated answers against your rubrics, flagging errors, omissions, and outdated guidance.
• Share clear written feedback with the project team, working asynchronously.
