Job summary

240 Tutoring, Inc. is seeking a senior finance leader to own the accounting function end‑to‑end—from close to controls, payroll, and compliance. You will drive accurate, audit‑ready numbers and scale finance processes as the company grows beyond current revenue levels.

You’ll partner with the CFO on forecasting, board updates, and strategic capital allocation while building scalable systems and automating manual tasks in a remote‑first, profitable education‑tech business.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in accounting with increasing scope and monthly close ownership.
• Hands‑on ASC 606 experience in subscription/def revenue models.
• Multi‑state payroll and multi‑state sales/use tax experience.
• Experience building close processes, checklists, and controls from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly close and financial reporting end‑to‑end.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations, flux analysis, and variance commentary.
• Oversee accounts payable, payroll, and cash management functions.
• Coordinate with external CPA, tax, and audit partners.
• Maintain SOC 2 controls and policy documentation.
• Partner with CFO on board materials and diligence.
