Job summary

240-Tutoring,-Inc is seeking a finance leader to own accounting end-to-end—from close and ledger to payroll, tax, and compliance—for a profitable, remote-first company with two business lines and multi-state employees. The CFO guides forecasting, capital allocation, and board interactions, while actively turning manual processes into scalable systems.

You will close books, review controls, and ensure audit-ready numbers as the company grows beyond present size. This is a hands-on, strategic role.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in accounting with increasing scope and 2+ years owning a monthly close start to finish.
• Hands-on ASC 606 experience in a subscription or deferred-revenue business.
• Multi-state payroll and multi-state sales/use tax experience.
• Experience building close processes, checklists, and controls from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close and financial reporting, including consolidated financials and segment P&Ls.
• Manage accounts payable, payroll, tax, and regulatory compliance with a hands-on approach.
• Develop and document internal controls and SOC 2 relevant evidence.
• Partner with CFO on board materials, forecasts, and diligence preparation.
• Oversee systems and automate reconciliation via QuickBooks and BambooHR integration.
• Lead and develop the Senior Accountant and collaborate with Partnerships and Product teams.
