52TEN is a remote-friendly investment firm focused on manufactured housing communities nationwide. We seek a Financial Controller to lead the accounting function, oversee month-end close, investor distributions, and build scalable finance processes in a fast-growth setting.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in accounting leadership, real estate accounting experience, GAAP expertise, and a passion for building robust internal controls and systems to support rapid expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
• Real estate or property management accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP multi-entity accounting.
• Experience leading accounting teams.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes in accordance with GAAP.
• Oversee financial reporting across multiple entities and investment funds.
• Ensure accurate investor distributions and financial reporting.
• Build scalable accounting processes and strong internal controls.
• Partner with acquisitions, operations, and executive leadership to provide financial insights for strategic decisions.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals.
• Continuously improve systems and workflows as the portfolio grows.
