Job summary

Victaulic seeks a Field Tool Technician for the Pacific Northwest, supporting on-site tool operations, maintenance, and consulting at customer facilities across the Southwest footprint. The role emphasizes traveling to sites, troubleshooting, calibrating, and training customers on tool usage and safety.

The candidate will learn Victaulic tools and processes, maintain service records, and provide expert recommendations while ensuring safety compliance and high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field service or equipment maintenance experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and high organizational skills.
• Proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, shop math, and precision instruments.
• Capability to perform all field service functions, including equipment setup, maintenance, and repair.
• Ability to take verbal and written instructions, work independently at customer sites, and provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to lift within OSHA-approved safe lifting limits and work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various industrial environments at customer facilities.
• Comfort with extensive travel (up to 80%).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, using computer systems and software applications to generate customer service reports and maintain tool maintenance databases.

Responsibilities

• Train customer personnel on proper tool operation, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.
• Independently coordinate and schedule customer visits based on availability and customer requirements, and maintain relationships with the independent customers you support.
• Provide onsite consulting to customers on tool operation and shop setup to maximize tool productivity.
• Provide on-site tool support and maintenance at customer facilities, learning and understanding our line of tools, equipment, and specialized instruments used at customer locations.
• Conduct troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on customer tools and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.
• Respond to customer service calls for tool malfunctions, providing expert diagnosis and repair solutions at customer facilities.
• Perform on-site calibration, testing, and commissioning of newly installed tools and equipment.
• Conduct warranty evaluations and repairs of company tools and equipment at customer sites, ensuring minimal disruption to customer operations.
• Maintain customer tool inventories and service records; prepare detailed service reports and recommendations for customers.
• Maintain professional customer relationships and provide technical consultation on tool applications and best practices.
• Follow all company safety requirements and procedures, and participate in safety reviews
