Job summary

Victaulic is seeking a Field Tool Technician for the Southwest region to deliver on-site tool support, maintenance and consulting at customer facilities across the territory. You will apply technical knowledge and communication skills to help customers optimize tool productivity and operations.

The role requires travel up to 80% and involves training customer personnel, performing repairs, calibrations, and preventive maintenance on a variety of tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field service or equipment maintenance experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and high organizational skills.
• Proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, shop math, and precision instruments.
• Capability to perform all field service functions including equipment setup, maintenance, and repair.
• Ability to take verbal and written instructions, work independently at customer sites, and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Train customer personnel on proper tool operation, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.
• Independently coordinate and schedule customer visits and maintain relationships with customers you support.
• Provide onsite consulting to customers on tool operation and shop setup to maximize tool productivity.
• Provide on-site tool support and maintenance at customer facilities and learn our tools and equipment.
• Conduct troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Respond to service calls for tool malfunctions with expert diagnosis and repair solutions.
• Perform on-site calibration, testing, and commissioning of newly installed tools.
• Conduct warranty evaluations and repairs at customer sites with minimal disruption.
• Maintain customer tool inventories and prepare detailed service reports.
