Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Installation & Service Technician for Retail Technology. This remote role travels to West Tennessee and North Memphis to install, troubleshoot, and service inventory control and video surveillance equipment for retailers.

You’ll train customers, resolve issues quickly, and maintain meticulous service records. You will work independently in the field, yet stay connected with a supportive team and leadership.

Qualifications

• EL06 license required.
• Strong understanding of electronics and networking fundamentals.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Basic PC skills including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders and work in field environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair inventory control and video surveillance equipment in retail environments.
• Diagnose technical issues and deliver fast, effective solutions.
• Provide training and support to maximize system performance for customers.
• Manage service calls efficiently and maintain accurate documentation.
• Maintain parts inventory to maximize first-time fix rates and customer satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer operations and share insights with leadership.
• Represent Johnson Controls with professionalism and customer-first mindset.
